how we started

Lowman Communications Inc. (LCI) was founded in July of 1989. LCI was founded by brothers David and Larry Lowman. Both of whome began their careers at DCS. Moving through the ranks as technicians and design draftsman, to managers. After spending time with DCS, the Lowman Brothers saw a need for a life safety communications company that could provide a variety of services, accessibility, and uncompromised service. With that decision, LCI was created.

For more than 30 Years LCI has served a client base of:

1.) Federal, State, and Local Government Facilities

2.) Universities and Schools

3.) Hospitals

4.) Assisted Living and Nursing Facilities

5.) Private Sector

LCI saw the need to expand into IT Computer Services, Telephone Systems, and integrate the systems together. In 2021, Integrated Communication Services (A Lowman Company) was started with Matt Caldwell being brought on as an Executive Partner. Matt brings his background in IT, exemplary administration, and management skills to the team.


meet the owner

Matt Caldwell is the Owner of Integrated Communication Services. He’s a husband and father of three. Matt moved to the Carolinas from New York in 2010 as part of a co-op program while receiving his MBA. He also has had experience in logistics, nurse call system, and low voltage, including access control, security cameras, networking and more.

Matt is also a Certified Alarm Technician (CAT I). After receiving his MBA, he was offered a position with a senior health care company and was quickly promoted to a regional position. He went on to serve as Executive Director of several assisted living facilities. While he was an Executive Director, Matt completed hands-on experience in IT and nurse call systems. He has also recently received his CAT I Certification. His love for the Low Voltage Industry is shown in the detail of his work.
